Flag of the 5th Kentucky Cavalry, Co. C. Made by the Ladies of Paris, Kentucky, and presented to Capt. Harry Bedford by Mrs. Maggie Brant McCoy. When Capt. Bedford was wounded in Nelson Co., the flag was torn from the staff and used as a bandage. Mrs. Bedford made a most hazardous trip and visited her husband there. The surgeon in charge gave her the flag at that time. |
