Albumen print: of U.S. General Ulysses S. Grant taken at Brady Studio. Bust portrait of General Grant in uniform. He is facing slightly to the viewer's right, has short hair and trimmed beard and mustache. The print has been cut into an oval and affixed to a cardboard backing. Surrounding the print is a gold double border with "M.B. Brady & Co., Entered according to Act of Congress, in the year 1865, in the Clerk's Office of District of Columbia, Washington, D.C. PHOTOGRAPHERS" printed between the lines along the bottom. On back are stenciled block letters of "F", "E", and "A". |
