Cdv studio portrait of a man, seated in chair, from waist up, part of chair visible on viewer's right, turned to left, face turned to left almost in profile, hands clasped in lap, left hand gloved, right hand not gloved; hair combed back, moustache, goatee; wearing double-breasted uniform frock coat, with shoulder boareds, buttoned; handwritten on obverse, "Gen. McClellan;" hadnwritten on reverse, "Gen. George B. McClellan was 1st cousin to Major H.B. McClellan of Gen. J.E.B. Stuart's Staff. I went to school to Major McClellan one of the first men I ever knew. He always spoke with respect of Gen. McClellan and named all of his children for h[illegible] Anne B.
