Quarter-plate ambrotype; man seated, turned slightly to the left, hair parted on side, cut upper ear length, full beard and moustache, cheeks possibly tinted pink, white starched collar turned down, dark tie knot visible, single breasted uniform frock coat with shoulder boards, may have been tinted gold at one time, frock coat open with collar turned down, single breasted vest buttoned, seven buttons visible tinted gold, left arm no longer visible, right arm by side and hand probably in lap; Plate only; no case. |
