Braid which formed the stripe of a pair of trousers worn by Brig. Gen. Felix Kirk Zollicoffer, who was killed at Mill Springs, Kentucky, January 19, 1862, shot in battle by Col. Fry and his body fell into the hands of the enemy. This gold lace was cut from his uniform by a Federal soldier and but now returned to Memphis friends. |
