Description |
Gold colored metal top and bottom. Top piece has pin on reverse. In between the metal pieces is a black and white ribbon with writing in gold ink. The ribbon is divided vertically with the black half on the left and the white half on the right. Attached to the the bottom metal pice is a silver commemorative coin with the portrait of Jefferson Davis on the obverse. An image of the Robert E. Lee Monument is on the reverse of the coin. Top metal piece: "SOUVENIR" on obverse. Ribbon: "RE-INTERRED/ MAY 31ST,/ 1893/ RICHMOND, VA." in gold ink. Coin: Obverse: "JEFFERSON DAVIS" with portrait of Jefferson Davis in center. Coin: Reverse: "IN MEMORY OF ROBERT E. LEE THIS STATUE WAS UNVEILED MAY 29TH, 1890." with image of Robert E. Lee monument in center. |
