Description |
A commemorative badge. On top is a crested modified rectangular "bright" brass bar-pin depicting 2 bridges over a river. Attached to the bar-pin is an "bright" brass shield with a depiction of a dome of a (capitol?) building. Underneath the depiction is the flag of the Army of Northern Virginia on the left and the 3st National flag on the right with crossed staffs. They are colored in blue, red, and white enamel. Directly under the flags are the words: "THE WONDER STATE LITTLE ROCK MAY 8-11 1928". At the bottom of the shield are the letters: "S.C.V." Attached to the back of the bar-pin, and extending past the shield is a red and white striped satin "fish-tailed" ribbon with "BRIGADE STAFF" in gold letters. The back of the ribbon has the manufacturer's label glued to the back that reads: "Official Souvenir Badge United Confederate Veterans' Re-Union Little Rock, Ark. May 8-9-10-11, 1928 GEO. R. WYMAN Little Rock, Ark. Chairman Badge Comm.---------Manufactured by Green Duck Company Chicago, Ill. Branches in all principle cities" in green. |
