Jefferson Davis owned this double holster. General R. H. G. Minty confiscated the holster from Davis at his capture in Irwinville, Georgia in May 1865 and kept it. In one side of the holster at the time were a number of gold coins. General Minty was the commanding officer of the 4th Michigan Cavalry. |
