Description |
A 3 part commemorative badge. The bar-pin on the top is made of a bright bronze that is "gold" colored. At the top of the bar-pin is a 5 point star in a circle surrounded by branches. "THE CITY OF THE HOUR" and "DALLAS" are stamped into it. It is directly connected, via a clasp pin that is soldered to the back, to a rectangular red and white striped ribbon with "STAFF COMMANDER IN-CHIEF" in gold. It is connected to a medal with a montage of 4 overlapping squares. The top square reads: "30th ANNUAL REUNION DALLAS 1925." The left square is a portrait, the right square is a depiction (monument?), and the bottom square is the flag of the Army of Northern Virginia. In the middle of the flags are the letters "S.C.V." The manufacturer's name is on the back. The badge is attached to the manufacturer's card (5" x 3") with an interesting advertising appeal printed on the back in green ink. |
