Uniform frock coat: double breasted, 7 buttons in each row, gray wool broadcloth with buff wool broadcloth piping, no facings, dark green wool and silk lining in the body, white cotton sheeting (with double red and double blue pinstripes) lining in the sleeves, embroidered gold major's collar insignia with buff edging, gold sleeve braid, Confederate staff buttons with backmarks, "RIVET'D & SOLDER'D" and "EXTRA / RICH." |
