Description |
The two badges are identical. Each badge consists of a round celluloid pin attached to a length of red silk ribbon. The pin has the following markings, "RICHMOND HOWITZERS VIRGINIA" around the edge with an Army of Northern Virginia pattern flag in the center. The pin has a twisted brass wire frame, a metal rim, a paper lining in the back bearing the manufacturer's name, and a clasp pin. The ribbon has red fringed and is marked in silver letters, "NEW ORLEANS / ATLANTA / MONTGOMERY / MOBILE / MAY, 1903." The ribbon is stained and has lost some of the material on the lower left due to previous bug infestation. |
