Description |
A 3 part commemorative badge. The bronze bar-pin depicts the "CONFEDERATE MEMORIAL INSTITUTE" (these words are on a scroll at the top) which is also known as "Battle Abbey," and recently the Virginia Historical Society. Underneath the depiction are the words: "RICHMOND, VA." It is connected to an oval shaped bronze and enamel medal. It depicts a Confederate soldier in full-frontal standing position with an enameled Army of Northern Virginia flag directly underneath him. The scroll that lines the bottom of the medal reads: "42nd ANNUAL REUNION (flag) U.C.V." On the back of the top bar-pin is a clasp and pin that attaches the rectangular satin red and white striped ribbon with the word "DELEGATE" printed in gold letters that attaches the 2 metal pieces. |
