Description |
A 5 part commemorative badge. On the top is a crested oval bronze ladder with 2 bars with paper inserts. It is colored bright "gold" and has a picture of "Battle Abbey" with a celluloid cover. The 1st bar reads "BRIGADE CMD'R" and the second bar reads "NORTH CAROLINA". The ladder is attached to a circle on a cross with rays. There is a depiction of a ship on water with the letters "S.(red)C.(white)V.(blue)" above it and "Alabama (inserted here is a portrait ?) C.S.N" underneath it. Surrounding the depiction are the words: "35th REUNION MONTGOMERY 1931" with 2 stars. Behind the badge, and attached to the top, is a red and white striped satin ribbon that hangs down below the badge. There is a clasp pin on the back of the bar-pin pinned to the manufacturer's card. The manufacturer's name & products are printed on the card in green ink: "THE WHITEHEAD & HOAD CO. NEWARK, N.J." The manufacturer's name and cast is also on the back of the metal parts. |
