Description |
Cloth fragment: one of 19 piece samples of homespun cloth with each piece a different pattern. Plain weave (made on two shaft loom). Cloth is cut in a rought rectangular shape. Alternating threads of dark brown and white in both the warp and weft give a pattern of alternating brown and white lines. The weave is tight and smooth; probably used for clothing. |
