Description |
A 3 part commemorative badge. On the top is a crested ornate rectangular bronze bar-pin with a stamped frontal scene of a Confederate piper, flag bearer, and drummer with the words: "AMARILLO 1935" underneath the scene. Connected to it is a red & white striped rectangular satin ribbon with the words: "STAFF OF COMMANDER IN CHIEF" printed in gold. A bronze star with a depiction of Robert E. Lee surrounded by the words: "R.E. Lee" is in the center. Underneath Lee are 2 crossed flags: The Army of Northern Virginia on the left and the Confederate flag on the right. Both flags are enameled in red, white, and blue. Surrounding the portrait are the words: "40th CONVENTION AMARILLO TEXAS SEPT. 3-6, 1935" The left arm of the star has a "S," the head of the star has a "C," and the right arm has a "V." The badge is attached to a card with the manufacturer's name. |
