Description |
The badge consists of a badge shaped as a sunburst attached to three silk ribbons sewn together, having gold thread fringe on the bottom. The sunburst shaped badge consists of a blue felt center with fourteen rays eminating from the center of brass and sequins. "C. S. A." is printed in the blue felt center in gold. The three ribbons hanging from the sunburst are two red and one white, sewn so that the white is in the middle of the two reds. "HONORARY GUARD / OF / CONFEDERATE / GENERAL OFFICERS / IN MEMORIAM / THE SACRED DUST OF / JEFFERSON DAVIS / SOLDIER / STATESMAN / PRESIDENT / MONTGOMERY, ALABAMA / MAY 29th, / 1893" is printed in gold on the ribbon. |
