Description |
The badge is a length of white silk ribbon with gold, red, and blue markings. The bottom of the ribbon has a fishtail end of painted-on fringe. Crossed flags printed in red and blue are above the Virginia State Seal printed in gold on the center of the ribbon. An Army of Northern Virginia pattern flag is on the left; a Virginia State flag is on the right. "SIC SEMPER TYRANNIS" is printed in gold between the flags and the seal. The following is printed in gold above the flags, "R. E. LEE / CAMP, NO. 1 / C. V. / RICHMOND, VA." The following is printed in gold below the seal, "NEW ORLEANS, LA. / MAY 19-23, 1903." |
