Description |
The badge consists of a bronze medal suspended from a bronze bar pin by means of a chain loop. The bar pin has a picture frame edge with "VETERAN / U. C. V. / RICHMOND, 1907" engraved on the front; the back has a clasp pin attachment. The obverse of the medal has an engraving of the Jefferson Davis Monument in the center. "1861" and "1865" are engraved in two banners, one on either side of top of the monument. "TO JEFFERSON DAVIS / PRESIDENT OF THE CONFEDERATE STATES OF AMERICA" is engraved around the edge of the medal. The reverse of the medal has the manufacturer's name in a center circle. |
