Description |
U.S. Model 1858 tin smooth side canteen, three sling loops, leather strap slit to fit either side of canteen body, pewter spout, carved wood stopper with leather thong attaching it to sling, canteen marked "J. V." on the body, "A", on the opposite side and an inverted "V" on the spout. A tin cup (0985.6.15) was previously attached to the sling of canteen via a leather strap with metal buckle. |
